North 24 Parganas (West Bengal) (India) (December 7 ) : Officials in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, informed the Border Security Force of South Bengal Frontier on Wednesday, adding that the total weight of the confiscated gold biscuits was 1166 grams and was estimated to cost Rs 60 lakhs, as reported by the BSF.The smuggler revealed that this gold was handed to him by a Bangladeshi smuggler from Satkhira, Rizaual Mandal, on Thursday.The gold was due to be given to Ramprasad Biswas at Bithari Bazar in District North 24 Parganas, according to BSF officials.For this job, he was supposed to earn 1,000 rupees.

The seized goods were handed over to the Tentulia Customs Department for further investigation.People who indulged in illicit activities such as smuggling are being regularly apprehended.The apprehended smuggler is holding more records so that more individuals caught in smuggling can be traced, according to the Commanding Officer of 112 Battalion.
