Hyderabad (Telangana) (India)-The 7th of December: Hyderabad Police arrested a notorious organized gang of sex traffickers and rescued 14,190 women, including foreigners from all over the country.According to investigators, as many as 17 people have been arrested in connection with the probe.The rescued victims are from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Assam, Nepal, Thailand, Russia, etc.The detained suspects have been identified as Salman, Shailendra Prasad, Jogeswar Rao, Irfan, Adeem, Sameer, Harbhinder Kaur, Adeem, Saibabu Goud, Gangadhari, and Sarbeshwar Rout, Officials said the accused were arrested in several raids carried out by the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of Cyberabad Police in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and other areas in the last two months.
During the interrogation, the accused revealed they were part of an organized sex syndicate that brought victims from all over India, according to officials.They would advertise on websites, contact customers via call centers and WhatsApp, and even arrange hotels and collect money for this organized sex activity.The cartet involved people from different states.Officials said they would form distinct WhatsApp groups subject-wise, such as organizers, manufacturers, ad agencies, website, and call center staff, and work with each other for the organization, while adding that the accused lured the bulk of the victims into prostitution by coercing them into a deluxe lifestyle, easy income, and, in some cases, under the pretense of providing jobs. According to the organizers, they used to work with other organizers and take a commission from their clients as a result.Officials said Adeem, Sameer, Salman, Arnav, Salman, Mohd Afsar, and Jogeshwar were among the major participants, and that they planned the spree for up to 16 years or more, compeling thousands of victims into prostitution.The accused was charged with the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and other relevant sections, and the police were continuing to look at the case.
