200 new Vande Bharat train rakes are up for bid, according to Indian Railways.

The Ministry of Railways has declared a tender for the production of 200 new rakes of new-generation Vande Bharat trains . The trains will only have sleeper class coaches with Wi-Fi access .

New Delhi, India, December 1: The Ministry of Railways has declared a tender for the production of 200 new rakes of new-generation Vande Bharat trains, which is expected to be worth around 26,000 crore rupees, according to official reports.It's important to note that these 200 rakes of Vande Bharat are aimed at the sleeper class only.The train can also be made from an aluminium chassis, making it 2-3 tonnes lighter than the previous model of trains.These trains will only have sleeper class coaches with Wi-Fi access.

The newly developed Vande Bharat Express trains will feature a photo-catalytic ultraviolet air purification system, which will also be used for air purification.To make travel more efficient and enjoyable, the Vande Bharat Express trains will also feature automatic fire alarms, CCTV cameras, and GPS equipment.All trains are equipped with modern state-of-the-art safety equipment, including a natively developed Train Collision Avoidance System (KAVACH).Officials from the railway industry are claiming that these trains are a game changer for the country's rail expansion plans.
