3 airports in Bihar record more passengers and flights

Patna airport has seen a 163% increase in passenger traffic and a 68% increase in aircraft movement . Darbhanga airport saw an 116% increase in passenger numbers in May this year .

PATNA (Patna, Darbhanga, and Gaya): According to the most recent traffic statistics published by the Airports Authority of India, the three airports in the state saw increased in passenger footfall and aircraft movement in May, relative to the same period in 2021.The Patna airport has seen a 163% increase in passenger traffic and a 68% increase in aircraft movement.Last month, the airport handled 3,74,672 passengers, compared to 1,42,201 in May 2021.The number of aircraft going by has also increased from 1,660 to 2,790.

The passenger footfall at Gaya airport in May 2022 was 14,375 (inclusive international flights), up from 1,609 in the same period in 2021.
