Kanpur, Apr.5, 63 Bengali Hindu families from Meerut reached Bhaisaya in Kanpur Dehat on Monday, where the government promised to build houses and allot agricultural land to them.The state cabinet approved a plan on November 10, 2021 for the rehabilitation of 63 Hindu Bengali families who migrated from Bangladesh in 1970, which included two acre each for farming activities and 200 sq.meters for residential purposes for which Rs.1.20 lakh would be allotted per family They continued to add that MGNREGA would grant them land reform and irrigation facilities as per requirement.
