PRAYAGRAJ: Over 65 Congressmen, including UPCC general secretary Mukund Tiwari and party spokesman Haseeb Ahmad, were arrested by cops here on Friday, sparking a mass protest against rising prices, unemployment, and a GST hike on household products.When they were marching from Balson crossing to Collectorate, the Congressmen clashed and argued ferocious terms with policemen.Mukund Tiwari, a UPCC general secretary, said that the BJP-led union government was the least concerned about the condition of the ordinary man, and that the rising cost of essential commodities, such as the LPG cylinder, has left the country's citizens puzzled.At a time when the whole world was commemorating Shravan month, he said that this government had even introduced GST on milk and curd.
