NEW DELHI: 72 teachers in Delhi government schools have been given notice of dismissal by the Department of Education (DoE) after alleged impersonation charges.The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) administered the teachers recruitment exams for various positions such as assistant teacher primary, graduate teacher (TGT) and post-graduate teacher (PGT).There were many types of TGT and PGT examinations, and the tests were conducted primarily in 2018.The Department of Education has given the notice of termination under Rule 5 (1) of the Central Services (Temporary Services) Rules, 1965.

Himanshu Gupta, the DoE's director, has sent the letter.According to the teacher's notice, why not terminate his services with effect from the date of expiry of the one-month notice period?The notice stated that the exams were held in the year 2018.Between February 2021 and April 2021, DSSSB conducted the biometric verification at the respective RD offices.
