(India) Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) (India) — Today (December 1): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a massive sanitation initiative to transform Uttar Pradesh into a cleaner and greener state, covering 750 civic bodies in 75 districts for 75 hours starting today.Uttar Pradesh's Urban Development Minister, AK Sharma, announced the initiative today.The Urban Development Minister stated on this occasion that 75 hours of continuous cleaning work would be done throughout the state starting today, as well as beautification, and that many areas will be developed as selfie points.He also suggested that in some areas, a wall of light would also be constructed, where the things needed by the poor would also be available.
The campaign also aims to increase public awareness of cleanliness.To do so, the appropriate funds and effort will be required by identifying the garbage's vulnerable areas.Officials have also been asked to ensure that the district magistrate's funeral is held under his supervision and chairmanship.Under the plan, all urban authorities are required to re-mark all the Garbage Vulnerable Points in their respective regions. The garbage generated from the reduced Garbage Vulnerable Points will be split into wet and dry waste, which will be disposed of and treated further.Following the assessment of the garbage, the government has been asked to keep a log of the materials, including plastic, bottle, and glass.Following the campaign, the civic bodies will have access to high-quality and geo-tagged photos of Garbage Vulnerable Points (before and after elimination) on the email of the State Mission Directorate, Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban).Officials have also been asked to ensure videography of the activities carried out under the Pratibaddh 75 Districts, 75 Hours, 750 Bodies initiative by the government. Through community involvement, the general public will be made aware of all GVPs, either as selfie points with space for senior citizens or as street vendors.The top three civic bodies will be awarded.
