Supreme Court has taken note of the delayed appointment of High Court judges by the government . Centre informed Parliament that there is no such plan to reintroduce the National Judicial Appointments Commission .
In response to the letter sent to Parliament by the Supreme Court on December 5, the Centre informed Parliament that there is no such plan to reintroduce the National Judicial Appointments Commission, or NJAC, with appropriate modifications.Mr Rijiju said in a statement that the Supreme Court has taken note of the delayed appointment of High Court judges by the government and has given the Ministry of Justice Secretary an update.The Parliament has the power to pass the bill.However, the courts can look at this matter.Where the law is enacted by this Court, it is essential that all adhere to it, because otherwise parts of society may choose to follow their own course, whether in the form of existing laws enacted by the Parliament or law enacted by the Court.
