Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) India December 6: Art teaches where words can't be expressed, and Jalaluddin Sheikh, a 65-year-old man from the Srinagar district, has been carving wood art for the past 46 years from his modest factory.He carestakingly and patiently makes such intricate masterpieces that the viewer is left wondering.Jalaluddin's exquisitely handcrafted works of art are well-liked not only in the region, but also abroad.He first looks for the right wood to fit with the work, then cuts it, and follows the exact measurements.He also undertakes the task of confirming the wood himself.
He writes in Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, and Punjabi languages.Age is nothing but a number, according to a 64-year-old man from the Kashmir Valley.Several dignitaries have been given his art, including former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the British Ambassador.He has also had the privilege of illustrating Islamic calligraphy on wood. Again, the tools must be made according to the case and writing.Jalaluddin Shaikh has already engraved several Quranic verses on wood.The carving of Surah Al-Nashrah, the last paragraph of the Holy Quran, is considered to be one of his greatest works of art by Jalaluddin.Sheikh Jalaluddin studied wood carving at university in Dubai in 2007.After passing the frog test in the early 1970s, he became involved in this work.
