Officials said there is a chance of rest after May 16 when the country will see the effects of the western disturbance, and the day temperature in Bhopal was 44.4 degrees Celsius, four notches above the normal threshold, while the night temperature in the city was 30 degrees Celsius, four notches above the normal level.In Naogaon and Khajuraho, the wind blew southwards bringing an average speed of 18 kilometers per hour.During the day, the following places faced a high heatwave: Naogaon, Khajuraho Damoh, Rewa, Sagar, Satna, Sidhi, Rajgarh, Gwalior, and Guna.Metologists predicted a clear sky during the day and cloudy evenings in the forecast for Bhopal.

The weather office issued a red alert about heatwaves and major heatwaves in some areas as predicted by the state.
