A man died in Bengaluru after coming into contact with an illegally pulled live wire at a bus stop.

Officials said a 30-year-old man died near the Hebbal police station bus stand in Bengaluru on Saturday after he accidentally came in contact with a live wire tied illegally to an advertisement hoarding.Officials from Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Ltd (Bescom), a utility company in the region, reported the man stabbed the metal section of a bus shelter at 9.40 p.m.According to the group, the victim's body has been taken to B R Ambedkar Medical College Hospital, according to the executive engineer, assistant executive engineer, and section officer of Bescoms Hebbal division, who arrived at the location and discovered an unauthorised extension of a low-tension power line by a private advertising company from a pole located near the bus stand.Power was illegally drawn from the pole at the bus shelter in December 2020 if the driver failed to pay the remaining bill, but the public was alert, a senior Bescom official said.
