Udupi: On Saturday, the body of a 31-year-old man was exhumed from a burial ground in Udupi after Punjab police requested a DNA scan of the deceased man to confirm his identity.According to police, the deceased is accused of being Tejinder Singh.An unidentified body was discovered by Malpe police in December 2020.Because there were no claimants, the body was buried after an unnatural death report was published.

According to their probe, a man had travelled to the area for work, and was reported missing.His location was last confirmed to Udupi.The police began looking for him and located his photo at a police station that corresponded to the one in his possession.The body was exhumed in the presence of district officials after preliminary interviews and other formalities.
