A Mumbai film director has been charged with distributing fake information.

Avinash Das, a film director from Andheri, posted an alleged obscene image of a woman being painted with the tricolour . Das also shared a five-year-old snapshot of IAS officer Pooja Singhal of Jharkhand with home minister Amit Shah .

Ahmedabad: On Saturday, the city crime branch prosecuted a Mumbai-based film producer for allegedly spreading a false story.He was also charged with insulting the national pride after posting an alleged obscene picture of a woman with a tricolour in Mumbai on March 17, according to city crime branch officers.Avinash Das, a film director from Andheri, posted an alleged obscene image of a woman being painted with the tricolour.Apart from that, Das shared a five-year-old snapshot of IAS officer Pooja Singhal of Jharkhand with home minister Amit Shah on May 8.
