Sonitpur (Assam) (India): On Tuesday night, a wild elephant was discovered dead at a tea estate in Assams Sonitpur district.According to reports, the staff of the Adabari tea estate near Balipara in Sonitpur district saw the elephant and immediately alerted local forest officials and police.A forest department team immediately reached the spot and discovered the dead elephant at 23 node of the tea estate.We also alerted our higher authority and the veterinary specialist.According to Anil Borthakur, the Deputy Ranger of Amaribari Central Forest Range, we will be able to determine the true cause of death of the wild elephant.
