Bengaluru: The Aam Aadmi Party, buoyed by its victory in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi elections, said on Wednesday that it alone has the ability to defeat the BJP and hopes to see a similar response in the MCD elections in Bengaluru as they are held, putting an end to the BJP's 15-year reign in the civic body, which would further complicate the current power fight in Delhi. In the 250-member municipal corporation, the BJP secured 104 seats, while the Congress was reduced to nine. This election has shown that no other political party can defeat the BJP except for the AAP.According to AAP Bengaluru president Mohan Dasari, this MCD election victory sends one message to the entire nation that the AAP must be strengthened to beat the BJP, implying that the opposition party must be strengthened to overcome the challenges of price rise and unemployment, Dasari said in a tweet.
