Absconder suspect in two cases of honour killings is captured by the crime branch

Ankit Choudary is accused of being inter-caste with his sisters relatives . He was convicted of killing his brother-in-law by firing at him thrice in his vehicle in 2010 .

Officials said on Wednesday that a team from the Crime Branch arrested an absconder who is accused in two cases of honour killing from Haryanas Sonipat, and that he was arrested on the intervening night of April 21 and 22 this year.Since then, Ankit Choudary has been untraceable.According to officials, he is the accused in many unexplained cases in Delhi and was arrested in two registered murder cases.In Wazirpur village, there were also some more events of love marriages.

They formed a plot to murder his sister, brother-in-law, and one girl, namely Shobha, to send a message to their community, according to Special Commissioner of Police IPS Ravindra Singh Yadav.Ankit Choudary killed his brother-in-law by firing at him thrice in his vehicle on June 20, 2010.Ankit went to the house of his sister Monika and shot her as well.The accused was also convicted of the murder of Shobha, a second child.

The other accused persons are in judicial custody, and the case is currently in the process of being adjudicated.Ankit was convicted of a murder that occurred at Ashok Vihar police station on the morning of April 21-22 2022.
