SHIMLA — Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur said on Friday that Prime Minister Narendra Modis' upcoming visit to Mandi town on Saturday demonstrates his benevolence towards Himachal Pradesh and its people.He said that the Prime Minister had opened a Bulk Drug Pharma Park for the state well before his visit, and that was a befitting remark against those who claim that the Prime Minister hasn't done anything to help the state.Modi provided the state with a special assistance of Rs 800 crore, along with funding of state-wide development projects worth more than Rs 10,000 crore, he said.When speaking at a public meeting in Chakkar in Mandi on Friday, Jai Ram Thakur expressed dissatisfaction with the state government's decision to hold 75 events to thank the state's people for their contributions to making Himachal Pradesh one of the country's frontrunner states in terms of growth.

Himachal Pradesh has also evolved to a certain degree throughout the region, according to him, and it is now his turn.In the Balh section of Mandi district, Jai Ram Thakur established a new Milkfed Plant Chakkar, which would grow its capacity to over 50,000 litres.This new plant was constructed at a cost of Rs 16.32 crore.This plant will process milk in a semi-automatic manner, he said, giving the farmer the ability to obtain more milk.
