According to Khattar, all universities must give edn from KG to PG.

The CM said that children whose family income is less than Rs 1.8 lakh in the Parviar Pehchan Patra (family identification certificate) will be eligible for the benefit .

Chandigarh: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Saturday that all universities in the state should make education available from KG (kindergarten) to PG (postgraduate) under the New Education Strategy, adding that the government would cover poor students in universities.The CM said that children whose family income is less than Rs 1.8 lakh in the Parviar Pehchan Patra (family identification certificate) will be eligible for the benefit as part of a two-day conference of universities vice-chancellors.Here, the Haryana State Higher Education Council hosted the Conference on Education Policy, Self-Employment and Management.Anand Mohan Sharan, the next chief secretary (higher education), Amit Agrawal, Rajiv Rattan, and vice-chancellor of the education council addressed the meeting.The CM suggested that employment-oriented programs be developed in universities and computer education to improve the chances of finding a job after study.

According to him, this would put a halt to the government's burden of providing quality technical and higher education to the youth.He also directed officers to promote Hindi in LLB and engineering programs, according to the CM, so that universities can be financially viable and self-sufficient so they do not rely on government grants.He said that the government used outside companies to do consultancy, surveys, etc.in the future.

According to he, the remaining universities of the state should also operate at a fast pace to offer education in the same way.
