U.S. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut says Gujarat election results on target .

Sanjay Raut, the leader of the United Shiv Sena (UBT), said on Thursday that the Gujarat Assembly election results, in which the ruling BJP has put up a good showing, were on target and that people are suspicious of whether there is any sort of agreement between the saffron party and the AAP.Early signs indicate that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has not lost a poll in the state since 1995, prevailed.According to the latest trends of the Gujarat Assembly elections, the BJP is on a record of 149 seats, with Congress leading in 19, and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in 9, Mr Raut said.Mr Raut also defended Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who was virtually absent from his party's campaign in Gujarat.
