Act against Indian MLAs who switched to the BJP

Opposition Leader Mukesh Agnihotri said the move is illegal and unconstitutional . Hoshyar Singh and Prakash Rana had recently joined the BJP .

Shimla: The Congress has demanded the disqualification of two independent MLAs who had recently joined the BJP, Hoshyar Singh and Prakash Rana, ahead of the presidential elections.Mukesh Agnihotri, the Opposition Leader, said the move is illegal and unconstitutional, as well as in violation of the anti-defection Llaw, in a written complaint to Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar on Thursday.He also requested that the Speaker take a prompt decision on this issue.In the 2017 Assembly election, Agnihotri said two independent candidates were chosen: Prakash Rana from the Jogindernagar Assembly constituency of Mandi district and Hoshyar Singh from the Dehra assembly constituency of Kangra district.
