Additional sanctions are suggested by the European Commission against Russia.

Brussels, Belgium, December 8: The European Commission unveiled the ninth round of sanctions against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine on Wednesday.With the ninth package of sanctions, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced in a press release that they are increasing the pressure on Russia.It is deliberately targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in order to paralyse the world at the start of the winter.Ursula von der Leyen said in a press release that the European Commission has proposed to place sanctions on 200 additional individuals and entities, including the Russian armed forces, defense industry, members of Russia's State Duma, Federal Council, ministers and governors.

The European Commission President said that they are in favour of placing sanctions on three additional Russian banks, including a complete transaction ban on the Russian Regional Development Bank.Moreover, von der Leyen said that the European Commission intends to limit Russia's access to all sorts of drones and unmanned aerial vehicles.In addition, the European Commission recommends prohibiting direct exports of drone engines to Russia and any third countries that could supply drones to Russia.Also, Von der Leyen said that the European Commission is in favour of targeting Russian propaganda machines by eliminating four additional broadcast channels and all other distribution platforms.
