Patna (Bihar) India, December 7: Officials said the Bihar State Vigilance Unit booked suspended IPS officer Aditya Kumar on Wednesday for allegedly possessing assets that were unrelated to his known sources of income.According to an official statement from the state vigilance department, Aditya Kumar, a 2011-batch IPS officer and the then Gaya Senior Superintendent of Police, has been charged with possession of disproportionate assets worth Rs1.37 crore under sections 13 (1) (b) and 13 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 1988, and 120 (B) of IPC.Multiple teams of vigilance police have searched for Kumar in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh after the FIR.On the basis of a search warrant issued by the court of special judge vigilance in Patna (Bihar), Ghaziabad, and Meerut (UP), search warrants are being carried out, according to Patna.

It said that a further investigation is underway.Kumar was arrested earlier this year for allegedly misappropriating High Court judges names when working with senior officials in connection with critical decisions.Four people were arrested in connection with the case and sent to jail.
