Noida, Jan. 7, 2017: According to police, a 23-year-old man in Greater Noida was arrested for reportedly raping his partner after entering into a relationship with her under false name, a relationship that the woman learned about after three months of dating.According to an official, the accused has been sentenced under Indian Penal Code section 376 (rape) and the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Ordinance, 2020.The woman, a Uttarakhand apologist, worked at a private firm in Greater Noida.According to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida), Dinesh Kumar Singh, the woman met this man in the area and fell in love, and also began a physical relationship.
After noticing the gun, she approached police and confronted him.According to Mr Singh, an FIR was filed and the accused was apprehended at Dadri police station, and the probe also indicated that Saifi had made false promises of marriage to the woman, according to the official, adding that further administrative proceedings were ongoing in the case.
