Shillong: The Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (MPYC) chastised the ambitious Agnipath scheme, claiming that it was nothing but a condescending measure by the Indian government to solve the country's short-term unemployment problem and was only meant to put the country's trajectory in a downward spiral not long from now, according to a statement issued on Thursday.Meghalaya has a number of such aspirants whose attempts were wasted for no reason whatsoever, and everything has been cancelled to make room for this ill-conceived and haphazard scheme. It further reads: The Agnipath scheme has prickly the aspirations and aspirations of any Indian youth who wishes to serve the country by joining the Indian Armed Forces.Agnipath scheme participants will be labeled Agniveers, as a result of the process.

After four years of service, Youths will be eligible for compulsory retirement. The MYPC claims that the Agnipath scheme is one of the few such schemes taken by the current government to propel certain corporate houses, aiming to create a large work force that is bereft of higher education in order to meet the demand of a lower-grade workforce of these major corporation houses.
