New Delhi, India, August 18: The Supreme Court denied to lift the order of the Madras High Court, which ordered Edappadi K Palaniswami, the interim General Secretary of AIADMK, to take over the party's headquarters in Chennai, on Thursday.Justices Hima Kohli and CT Ravikumar also issued notice of the petition filed by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam (OPS) and the EPS faction of AI Understanding the High Court's order, OPS was moved to the Supreme Court, and senior advocate Shekhar Naphade, a candidate for OPS, stated before the bench that EPS should continue to be the party's coordinator and that the police should continue to provide the necessary protection to prevent an incident.During the party's General Council meeting on July 11, the AIADMK's dual-leadership scheme was repealed and OPS was dismissed.
