AIIMS-new Delhi's director is M Srinivas

M Srinivas, Dean of ESIC Hospital and Medical College in Hyderabad, elected as Director of AIIMS-Delhi . Srinivas will succeed Randeep Guleria, who has been in charge since March 2017 .

UPDATED DELHI: According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training on Friday, M Srinivas, Dean of ESIC Hospital and Medical College in Hyderabad, has been elected as the Director of AIIMS-Delhi.Dr Srinivas will succeed Randeep Guleria, who has been in charge since March 2017.Before joining ESIC Hospital and Medical College in Hyderabad in 2016, Srinivas was a professor in the Department of Pediatric Surgery at AIIMS-Delhi.According to the order, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has appointed Srinivas to the position of Director, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

The order was posted on September 9, but the government updated it to September 23.The ACC had given ex-post facto approval for Dr Randeep Guleria to serve as Director of AIIMS, New Delhi (w.e.f.If you're looking for a unique director, the deadline is March 25, 2022, or until the new Director is hired.On March 28, 2017, Guleria was appointed director for a five-year term.

Dr. Gulerias' second extended tenure as the Director of AIIMS-Delhi was set to end on September 23.The ACC received the names of three doctors earlier in March: Nikhil Tandon, professor of endocrinology; Rajesh Malhotra, professor of orthopaedics at AIIMS; and Pramod Garg, professor of the institute's gastroenterology department-who had been selected by a search-cumulative committee and then reviewed by the Institute Body, the AIIMS's top decision-making body.On June 20, the ACC, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanded a wider selection of candidates for the post of director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).Following this, MV Padma Srivastava, the director of Neurosciences Centre; Dr Balram Bhargava, the former ICMR director general; and Dr Rakesh Aggarwal, the director of Puducherry's Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, were introduced.

According to a report, the names of Dr Srinivas and Dr Behari were put forward by the Institute Body on Wednesday before being submitted to the ACC for final review.Dr Srinivas and Dr Behari, it is surprising, neither applied for the position.Before taking over as the director of Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology, Trivandrum in April, Dr. Behari was professor and head of the Neurosurgery department at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow.
