On Wednesday, Air Marshal B Chandra Sekhar, Commandant, Air Force Academy, outlined the vital role of Air Traffic Controllers in military aviation at a graduation ceremony held at Air Traffic Control Officers Training Establishment (ATCOTE), Air Force Academy Hyderabad.To mark the successful completion of 143 Air Traffic Surveillance Services (ATSS) course and 108 Air Traffic Management & Air Laws (basic) course, Air Marshal B Chandra Sekhar, Commandant AtCOTE, a leading training center of the Indian Air Force (IAF), emphasised the importance of Air Traffic Services in supporting the country's economic development by allowing for the use of restricted airspace for accelerating traffic, notably with the establishment of a large number of IAF airfields available to civil aircraft operations.The course prepares these controllers to maintain a smooth and orderly flow of air traffic.The Air Traffic Management & Air Laws (basic) course was comprised of ten Indian Air Force officers, 04 from the Indian Navy, one from the Indian Navy, one from the Indian Coast Guard, and one officer from the Sri Lanka Air Force.
