A 26-year-old man was reportedly beaten within an inch of his life and was left to die on road by some security guards at a metro construction site in northwest Delhi, according to a senior police officer.The man, named Suraj, was a drug addict and had gone to the site near Bada Bagh on GTK Road where metro work was taking place at around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, the officer said.He was brought to his house by a buddy of his.However, he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday evening, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Usha Rangnani.A case under sections 304 (Culpable murder not amounting to murder) and 34 (Common Intention) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at Adarsh Nagar Police Station, according to Usha Rangnani.
