Amazon.com Inc announced on Thursday that it would offer a TikTok-like feed to its e-commerce website in the hopes of attracting new customers with a stream of photos and videos from their favorite influencers, a development that comes as market growth slows due to an uncertain economy and decades-high inflation. The feature is also geared at enticing a young audience who respond to formats such as short videos popularized by TikTok and Instagram.Users can access the feed by pressing the light bulb icon on the bottom bar of the Amazon app.The service will be available to selected U.S. customers early this month and then roll out to all users in the region in the coming months.Amazon has warned that its fourth-quarter revenues could fall below expectations, and it recently lowered thousands of corporate roles.
