Ranchi (Jharkhand) CM Hemant Soren, chief secretary Sukhdeo Singh, and principal secretary Avinash Kumar attended the oath-taking ceremony at Raj Bhawan, Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (JSERC) on Thursday.The commission is the apex state electricity regulatory body, which regulates electricity procurement, and promotes the production of electricity from renewable sources.Since Arbind Prasad signed his papers, it had been operating without a chairman since June 12, 2020.The state energy department reported on September 9 that Gupta had been appointed as the chairman of the commission, which currently has three members.
