Naik Swaranjit Singh, 33, died in an accident in Leh province (Ladakh) His Mortal remains reached his native village Salaudi, where he was cremated with full military honors . Swaranjit joined the Army in 2008 and served at various levels .

Ludhiana: Family members, relatives, and acquaintances paid a tearful adieu to naik Swaranjit Singh, who died in an accident in Leh province (Ladakh).On Thursday, his Mortal remains reached his native village Salaudi, where he was cremated with full military honors.According to reports, a vehicle carrying three Army men, including 33-year-old Swaranjit, had fallen into a ravine after colliding with an accident on Tuesday night.Two of Swaranjit's coworkers were seriously wounded in the accident, as he died.

Before joining Leh in 2021, he was stationed at Ferozepur.After availing leave in April this year, the Swaranjit had returned to his place of residence and was decommissioned with the 4Sikh Light Infantry regiment, according to him.According to locals, Swaranjit's parents, wife Gurpreet Kaur (30), and two daughters, the youngest being just six months old, had told his family that he would return soon.According to sub-inspector Nachhattar Singh, SHO, Sadar Khanna police station, who attended the last rites with DSP Rajan Parminder Singh, the body of the martyr was transported to his village on Thursday morning and Swaranjit was cremated with full military honors at the village's cremation site.

She said she has two small daughters who would always miss their dad's presence.
