Washington, D.C., October 13: The new Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 1 chipet is now available, and the iconic American multinational technology conglomerate Metas Quest Pro VRMR headset has officially been announced.The Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 1 features a novel image processing scheme with less than 10ms latency, unlocking full-color video pass-through for mixed reality (MR) and concurrent perception algorithms, including head, hand, and controller tracking, 3D reconstruction, automatic room mapping, and a higher pixel density.The Meta Quest Touch Pro controllers are based on the Snapdragon 662 architecture, which allows them to track through multiple embedded positional cameras and offers ultra-low latency to the headset, according to Quartz.Multiple OEMs have promised to produce devices powered by the XR2+ by the end of the year.
