Assam floods have affected around 6.62 lakh people.

More than 6.62 lakh people have been affected by the states floods in Nagaon district . The Indian Army, National Disaster Response Force, State Disaster Response Force, and the Fire and Emergency Services teams rescued 8,054 people on Wednesday .

Guwahati (Assam) (India), May 18: The latest flood-related study by the Assam State Disaster Management Authority revealed on Wednesday that more than 6.62 lakh people have been affected by the state's floods in Nagaon district, followed by 1.18 in Darrang, 27282 in Biswanath, and 19755 in Udalguri district.One person drowned in floodwaters in the Cachar district.According to the analysis, the district administrations have established 135 relief camps and 113 distribution centers where 48,304 flood victims, including 6,911 children and 50 pregnant womenacting mothers, are being sheltered.The water level of the Kopili river in Kampur, Nagaon district is now at the dangerous level and has reached its highest level.
