Assam: FoodNet dashboard is unveiled by ICMR-RMRC Dibrugarh

The initiative is the first of its kind in India . The dynamic dashboard will aid in the generation of real-time data on diarrhoeal diseases and outbreaks of food-borne illnesses .

DIBRUGARH: On Wednesday, the ICMR-RMRC Dibrugarh team launched a FoodNet dashboard and a website for a task force group on the monitoring of food-borne pathogens in the northeast.The initiative, which is the first of its kind in India, will boost the country's food-borne pathogen identification and biomedical research.The dynamic dashboard, according to ICMR-RMRC Dibrugarh, will aid in the generation of real-time data on diarrhoeal diseases and outbreaks of food-borne illnesses, enabling program planners to implement evidence-based intervention at the most possible time.By using an innovative mixed-method research methodology, it would also help understand the biology and behaviour surrounding food-borne disease outbreaks.

ICMR, RMRC, NE Region, Dibrugarh, ICMR, New Delhi, NICED, C-DAC Kolkata, and C-DAC Kolkata are teaming up to implement the project, which includes the active participation of state health authorities (Assam, Arunachal, Tripura, and Sikkim), as well as academic institutions and community-based organizations.
