Assam: Summer break rescheduled at government schools due to flooding

GUWAHATI (GUWAHATI)-As the state is reeling from devastating floods, summer vacations have been put forward.Ranoj Pegu, the state education minister, reported on Thursday that the month-long vacation, which was supposed to begin on July 1, has now been rescheduled to June 25.Pegu also encouraged private schools to follow suit.Hundreds of schools are being used as relief camps throughout the state, although many are under water.

According to the circumstances, the Assam government has decided to switch the summer vacations of elementary and secondary sections from June 25 to July 25, according to the official.Pegu reported that the decision has been approved by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who has confirmed the meeting.During the period referred to in the article, schools that are not in Class XII will be closed.Pegu, on the other hand, said that the government has developed some academic plans to be implemented during the summer break.
