AIIO will be the exclusive research branch and laboratory unit for clinical trials.According to research reports, there are expected to be about 8,00,000 new cancer cases in India every year.There is likely to be three times this number at any given moment, or about 2,40,000 cases.Advanced imaging techniques are presently needed to help identify earlier stages of cancer and/or more aggressive forms of cancer.
