At 60 airports, private security agents will be stationed

1,924 PSA security agents will be deployed at 60 airports . This will further support the operationalization of new Domestic and International Airports .

New Delhi, India, September 23: Officials said on Friday that a total of 1,924 Private Security Agency (PSA) security agents will be deployed at 60 airports in lieu of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which is stationed at non-core duty positions in accordance with the Government of India's decision.This will further support the operationalization of new Domestic and International Airports.At 45 airports, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has recruited 581 Security personnel from the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) sponsored Security Agencies.After successful completion of the Aviation Security (AVSEC) certification program at selected airports, these Security personnel will be deployed.

The remaining security staff are scheduled to deploy at Kolkata Airport on September 9 this year after attending the AVSEC training program.
