At NIM in Uttarkashi, the national sport climbing competition begins.

26th National Sport Climbing Championship launched at Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) in Uttarkashi . Rekha Arya, minister of sports and youth development, opened the three-day celebration .

On Friday, the 26th National Sport Climbing Championship was launched at the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) in Uttarkashi.In all age groups, qualifying rounds of lead, speed, and bouldering were held on the first day of the championship.In the presence of Suresh Chauhan, Gangotri MLA, Harshwanti Bisht, president of the Indian Mountaineering Association (IMF), and other dignitaries, Rekha Arya, minister of sports and youth development, opened the three-day celebration.The cabinet minister said at the meeting that the sports department would now concentrate on climbing, which has become an Olympic sport, in addition to cricket, hockey, and badminton.

The Army and paramilitary are taking in over 170 climbers from five directions (north, south, east, west, and north east), according to Colonel Amit Bisht, principal of NIM.Climbers will compete in bouldering, speed, and lead climbing events, which have been divided into senior, junior, and sub-junior levels.In Asian and Olympic games, the best players will have the opportunity to represent their country.
