The Central Board of Direct Taxes Chairman Nitin Gupta opened the Taxpayers Lounge at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on Tuesday.The Taxpayers Lounge is being hosted by the India International Trade Fair 2022, which will be held from November 14 to 27, according to a Finance Ministry release.The Taxpayers Lounge is intended to raise funds for the I-T department's various initiatives, including digitalization, transparent taxation, online grievance resolution, e-PAN The Taxpayers Lounge is not only a tool for educating taxpayers on the various taxpayer-facilitation initiatives undertaken by the department in recent years, but it also serves to raise concerns about the value of taxes in nation-building, according to the ministry, who said that the Lounge is also a platform for communicating with taxpayersstakeholders and gathering feedback on any issues faced by them.
