At the Kolkata airport, shooter Ayushi faces security issues.

Ayushi Podder was asked to offload some of her usual shooting equipment at the airport. The 20-year-old had recently won two silver medals at the junior world championship in Lima, Peru, winning the 50m rifle 3 position team and mixed team events.

On Wednesday evening, rising Bengal shooting star Ayushi Podder faced some uncomfortable conditions at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in the city of KoLKATA.On the way to return to the Gagan Narang Sports Promotion Foundation in Hyderabad for training, the girl was asked to offload some of her usual shooting equipment.The security personnel at the airport refused to assist her even after she revealed her identity as an India international shooter.She was escorted all the way to the check-in baggage counter, where she was asked to remove the pistol oil containers from her checked-in luggage.

She had to offload the cans on the spot.According to her, the oil is needed for cleaning my pistol, and she said it is difficult to find them in India, especially the one I purchased from Germany.The airline she was flying rushed to help her, but the security guards could not help but they were unable to get the security staff to change their position.Despite traveling abroad for various tournaments, the 20-year-old was a bit shocked since she had never been faced with such a situation before.

After enjoying the Durga Puja break with the family, she was returning to her training base in Hyderabad.She will also compete in the national shooting meet in Bhopal, which is set to take place in the coming months.
