New Delhi (India), December 8: Union Minister Ramdas Athawale said on Thursday that the BJP's victory in the Gujarat assembly elections is the result of years of service to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the state.Athawale said, This is a victory of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the work he has done over the years is the result.For this, I am grateful to the Gujaratis.Congress and the AAP have been eliminated from the state, and he said, We accept our failure there, and in democracy the will of the people prevails, according to the results and trends of the counting of votes on Thursday.

According to the most recent reports from the Election Commission, the BJP is expected to gain 158 seats in the 182-member Gujarat assembly, having already won 79 seats and led on 79 seats.The Aam Aadmi Party has contested the state assembly, winning two seats and leading two more.In Gujarat, the Congress has risen to 12.87 percent, the highest level in the region, having won seven seats and led on nine, and the BJP has set a new record of 127 seats in 2002, the first election since Narendra Modi took power as governor.The BJP has won 14 seats and is now leading on 12.
