In the rain-stricken second T20 International on Friday, Matthew Wade smashed an unbeaten 20-ball 43 to lift Australia to a 90 for five against India. After a wet outfield due to overnight rain reduced the match to an 8 overs-a-side contest, Wade hit four boundaries and three massive sixes, all in the final over off Harshal Patel (002), while skipper Aaron Finch hit 31 off 15.Australia put on a show for the packed house at the VCA stadium, but Axar Patel (213 in 2 overs) took two wickets in an impressive spell to leave them at 31 for 3.Wade secured a big show from the visitors, scoring 44 runs in the final 18 balls with Steve Smith (8).Axar was introduced later on, and Cameron Green (5) tried to lift him over long-on, but running Virat Kohli couldn't hold on to the ball.Kohli, on the other hand, redeemed himself in the next round by throwing a quick throw at Axar, allowing him to dislodge the stumps and put an end to Greens' stay.As Australia fell to 19 for 2 in two overs, the spinner was back in action when he cleaned up the dangerous Glenn Maxwell for a duck.Yuzvendra Chahal (012 in 1 over) went on to bowl after the two-over powerplay ended, but Finch danced down the track and smoked him for a maximum of 12 runs from the third over. Before the left-hander nailed a reverse sweep to get a boundary, new man Wade was kept in check with his length balls. At the halfway mark, skipper Rohit Sharma handed the ball to comeback man Jasprit Bumrah (123 in 2 overs), and the India pace spearhead delivered his trademark yorker to castle Finch.Wade then took the charge as he ripped two fours off Harshal, one over the backward point and the other through extra cover.Steve Smith might have made it to the Bumrah bullpen, as his sensational yorker was on all fours. Wade then went berserk as the final over delivered 19 runs.
