New Delhi (India), December 8 (SRV): A new committee has been elected for the Karnataka State Wrestling Federation, and B Gunaranjan Shetty has been elected as the President.The new committee was elected as the President by the Indian Wrestling Association, who was accompanied by Honourable retired District Judge Sri Ramachandra M, the returning officer of the Wrestling Federation of India.In the presence of Member M Loganathan, Assistant Director, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Government of Karnataka, Adhoc Committee President V. N. Prasood, and Convenor R K Purushotham, and in the presence of Member J. N. Grantham.The organization hasn't been effective for the benefit of wrestlers in the state for the past 50 years.

This commission has been in office for 21 days, and it is a joy to see that a new enthusiastic committee has been selected for the state of Karnataka, which has been providing a significant contribution to the country's wrestling scene.The committee will continue to function until 2022-26, said Gunaranjan Shetty, the president of the Karnataka Wrestling Federation and In-charge of the Election Committee.He said that the population of wrestlers in our state is depleted without proper supervision and assistance.We have the important responsibility of providing the appropriate facilities to the state's wrestlers by revitalizing and enhancing the state's wrestling scene.

On December 10, the President announced that Senior Wrestling Championship Trials would be held in Harihar, India.Shetty said, To ensure the growth of wrestlers of the state, private groups and individuals interested in wrestling competition will be encouraged along with the government's assistance.We're going to open an association office in the coming months.The bulk of participants in wrestling competitions are from rural areas.Our committee will take great care to encourage his participation in the competition, he said.
