Birmingham, UK, September 7: Bahvina Patel, an Indias para table tennis player, claimed the gold medal after defeating Nigeria's Ifechukwude Christiana Ikpeoyi of Nigeria in the womens singles-Classes 4-5 here at The NEC Hall 3 at the Commonwealth Games 2022 on Saturday.Patel dominated Ikpeoyi in straight sets, 12-10, 11-2, 11-9.Patel gave the Nigerian paddler no chance as she played superbly to win the first two games in a one-sided fashion-12-10, 11-2.For a gold medal, India's para table tennis champion Sonalben Manubhai Patel took the bronze medal after defeating England's Sue Bailey in the womens singles 3-5 at The NEC Hall 3 of the Commonwealth Games 2022.Sue Bailey was beaten in straight sets by 3-0 (11-5, 11-2, 11-3), and Salbhai Patel dominated throughout the match, winning the first game 11-5 against England's Sue Bailey.
