BENGALURU: Aamir Khan, a Bollywood actor-producer who has worked with Bollywood actors for 30 years, caught everyone by surprise when he referred to his excelled 30-year career and asked why he was still alive. He said that fear is what motivates him.Khan addressed a panel discussion on Facets of management in films and life at the Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore (IIMB) on Saturday, saying that fear is a negative term, and that we should not be ashamed of it.It has its purposes, however.I am driven by insecurity and the fear that someone might not like my work.Prof Vasanthi Srinivasan moderated the discussion as part of Vista-2022, the IIMB's business fest.Khan said he is motivated by a desire to please people better and that he doesn't want anybody to see a weaker moment in my life as an actor. We all have shortcomings, and I have mine. It's the desire to do better and show a better side of yourself.Khan explained how to remain relevant and get going at 57 years old, but in my head I'm still 18 years old.I am also working to be more relevant to young people.I do films for kids on occasion because if a five-year-old loves your film, he will be loyal to you for the next 15 years. That keeps me relevant to a younger audience.
