MUMBAI: Sudhir Mungantiwar, the Maharashtra BJP leader, met principal secretary Rajendra Bhagwat of state legislature on Wednesday and advised him to provide security to the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs who are due to arrive in the state for a floor test on June 30.Since June 22, the majority of the Shiv Sena legislators, which is the head of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) party, have been camping in Guwahati, along with a number of independents.Sena rebels are demanding that the party merge with the NCP and Congress, which are government allies, demanding that they accuse these groups of trying to destabilize their party.Governor B S Koshyari of Maharashtra has informed the Uddhav Thackeray-led government to take the floor test at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
