Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) (India), December 7: On Wednesday, Himachal Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Maneesh Garg announced that 87% of the postal ballots distributed to employees deployed on election duty had been received back before the counting of votes, which was 17 per cent higher than 2017.He said that the returning officers from around the state had received 52,859 postal ballots by Tuesday (December 6).He explained that this figure is about 87%.Garg said that the total number of postal ballots given to employees on election duty increased by almost 11% in 2022 as compared to 2017, and that postal ballots given to those employees increased by almost 17%.
