Bihar minister Sanjay Kumar Jha said that by 2025, irrigation water will be available for every piece of agricultural land.

Work has been put on a war footing to provide irrigation water to every plot of arable land by 2025 . Jha said the state had been able to achieve all-round growth and a sustainable development in the last 15 years .

PATNA (PATNA): State water resources department (WRD) Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha said on Thursday that the state is on the brink of another agri-revolution as work has been put on a war footing to provide irrigation water to every plot of arable land by 2025.Jha said that the state had been able to achieve all-round growth and a sustainable development in the last 15 years by virtue of a solid agriculture strategy and three agriculture road maps, as well as the promotion of agriculture education and research.The government's initiative to improve the states agriculture sector was further supported by the establishment of the Bihar Animal Sciences University in Patna in 2017 and the Kishanganj College of Fisheries under its ownership.In addition, Makhana Vikas Yojana was launched to extend the city's crop coverage and increase its export potential.
