Bhopal: The ruling BJP held a joint protest in Madhya Pradesh hours before the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra began in the state on Wednesday. The BJP's Janjatiya Gaurav Yatra began in Khandwa, the birthplace of tribal icon Tantya Bheel, and was held there yesterday by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and four state ministers. The BJP denies that the rally was planned as a counter to Rahul Gandhi's yatra. We do not go on yatra just ahead of elections, unlike the Congress.

The death of tribal heroes is commemorated on December 4th.The Congress rally will reach Rajasthan on the same day as it covers six districts of Madhya Pradesh, and for the first time since it began in September, the rallies indicate a major tribal outreach by both the groups ahead of next year's assembly election, as well as the formation of Jai Adivasi Yuva Shakti (JAYS), a growing tribal alliance that is aiming for a large percentage of tribal youth votes in the state. The BJP had occupied 60 of these 84 seats in 2013, but the total number fell to just 34 in 2018.During the two elections, the Congress increased its count to 57 seats.Featured Video Of The DayHave Rahul Gandhis Looks To Have Become A Poll Question?
